Entry Level Massage Therapist – Employee Position

We are seeking an entry level massage therapist to join our team in an employee role, not as a 1099 contractor. This position is designed for a motivated practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality care to clients and eager to grow within a supportive environment.

Requirements
Must be a licensed LMT in the state of Oregon (OBMT), must be a US Citizen, must be an Oregon Resident, must not have any unresolved case or disciplinary action with OBMT, must be able to stand for a period of at least one hour, must be able to lift 50 pounds, must be able to pass a drug test for substances illegal in the state of Oregon (opiates, amphetamines, acids/LSD etc) - if on controlled substances please provide copy of prescription or doctors note. LMT must be able to appropriately schedule, check out, and interact with patients. LMT must adhere to HIPAA compliance and appropriate documentation standards.

Training and Probation
The training and orientation period will last 90 days from start date. During this period the employees salary will reflect training rate. Upon completion of this period employees will begin the probationary period of 9 months and pay rate will increase from training rate to entry level rate DOE. The training and probation process will last for a total of 1 year from start date.

Salary
Employee to start at training wage of $20 hourly base rate and $25 commission per hour massage. Steps with associated pay raises available after completion of training period.

  • Schedule flexibility available dependent on the office needs, we are currently a M-F office but may be open to weekends in the future

Basic Job duties

  • Provide High Quality Care

  • Keep up on standard of care

  • Maintain patient records and SOAP notes for billing with compliance to HIPAA

  • Basic intake, payment, and scheduling of patients

  • Answer calls and text messages from patients

  • Maintain massage room and assist with laundry

  • Assist with basic tasks as needed
